In 2050, Digital Twins (DT) are ubiquitous within the operation. DT’s run at component and system levels and, when connected, can even transcend to ship and fleet levels. Sensor networks - present on assets such as navy ships and drones - feed the DT models with near real-time data, enabling better predictive analysis and decision support. They are used to make decisions concerning maintenance, mission planning, battle damage assessment, shipbuilding, autonomy and more. As such, they are in many regards conditional to the success of any operation.
