In 2050, the Flexship sails with a significantly reduced crew. This reduction will also be driven by advances in robotics, connectivity technology and human machine interfacing. One operator will be responsible for, and oversee, processes that used to take multiple trained staff. Supported by a combination of technologies, operations like Replenishment At Sea (RAS), Launch & Recovery (L&R) or tasks on the flight deck will be significantly less taxing for on-board personnel than in the past.
